Days 3-5 - Singapore

Oh gang.

It’s been a packed couple of days! In between coming back to the AC’d hotel to lay in bed stunned at how hot it is outside.  (Like.  Stunned.)

After heading to the Shuang Lin monastery to have tea and fruit with the Abbott (as you do), we found some massage chairs in Bugis junction and sat there like proper middle aged people do in massage chairs in malls.  Reminded me of a few years ago when Scott and I went to Save On for a date on a Saturday night and took our blood pressure at the public cuff.  Sexy stuff.

In all kinds of random order, the last couple of days have consisted of:

  • Swimming alone under a crescent moon in our hotel with the skyscrapers above me
  • Some kind of lucky hack that my good friend Maggie shared with me on booking the “sundowner” block at the top of the Marina Bay Sands hotel for Pimm’s cups and the.  Most.  Incredible.  Views. Also after the incredible staff checked on us 50 times, I would like to forever be addressed as “Miss Sarah” from now on.  Thanks.  (Dress made by my incredible mom!)
  • Heading to the drinks stall at the hawker center and just buying an entire coconut ($3.40 SGD - roughly the same in CDN) to drink.  I mean……when in Rome…
  • Little India - taking 2 trains and walking a mile only to realize we ended up eating 800 m from our hotel 😂
  • Fish Thali!!
  • If you can’t decide on a business - just do them all!
  • Gum is illegal here - for real!  These are all mints.
  • Some products I think Canada should give a try…

That’s all for tonight - heading to a Klimt exhibit tomorrow and then off to Melaka Monday! ♥️
